Happy Friday — and happy one-year anniversary to Prince William and Princess Kate! What a fun year it has been watching their royal romance unfold. I love thinking back to their wedding day, and how fun it was to wake up early to watch. :) Completely unrelated, this weekend Matt and I are traveling to Canada (governed by the Queen!) to visit Niagara Falls. Have you been? Would love to hear any recommendations you have. And on that note, I want to wish each of you a wonderful and happy weekend ahead. Here, to get it started right, a few posts from around the web:
When I saw Em's blog post listing her April favorites, I had to re-post. Why? Because I agree with every single one of her picks. :) I love the fresh tulips, the spring showers, the home opener for the Boston Red Sox, the chance to reminisce about last year's Royal Wedding. April is a great month! Check out more of Em's picks here. And tell me — what do you love most about April? I'd love to know!

For those of you that live state-side and can't cross the pond to see Kate Middleton's Alexander McQueen wedding dress on display, there's another way to get your Royal Wedding fix. Starting in September and running through mid-January, Foxwoods will host the traveling exhibition, "Diana: A Celebration." The pièce de résistance on display? Diana's stunning gown — designed by Elizabeth Emanuel — from the day she wed Charles in 1981. As a long-time fan of the Royals, a trip to see this exhibit is definitely on my to-do list for fall. How about you? Will you be traveling to see Diana (or Kate's!) dress?

Did anyone else catch Ellie Goulding's performance on SNL over the weekend? The British pop star's voice is so angelic and sweet — I can see why she was picked to serenade Wills and Kate at the Royal Wedding just two weeks ago. My favorite is her rendition of "Your Song" by Elton John, and the music video to match. Definitely a more youthful take on the 70s hit!
Consider this a posterity shot to prove that we did in fact make it up at 5 a.m. to watch Wills and Kate get married. Please excuse our morning look sans makeup! But our smiles are each so big after watching the Royal Couple say 'I do', it's hard to notice anything else! :)
Experiencing Royal Wedding withdrawal? Order yourself a box of Royal cookies from Eleni's to help dull the pain. Don't you just love the representation of Prince William and (now) Princess Kate's special day? The entire box is not only a tribute to the wedding, but a tribute to England itself. Definitely a sweet treat!

Could they be any cuter? Just one month from today, the world will watch as Prince William and Kate Middleton finally tie the knot! My mom watched when Diana wed Charles and still references the occasion as one of the "most regal" and "romantic" celebrations that she's ever seen.
On April 28, my friend and I already have a sleep-over planned. At 6 a.m. on the 29th, it will be up and at 'em, perfect timing for the 11 a.m. ceremony at Westminster Abbey to begin. We're planning to sip English Breakfast Tea while we watch, and may even nibble on scones and jam! What about you — will you wake up early to see Kate marry her prince?

The first series of sketches are in for the royal wedding! Several of the world's most fashionable designers are dreaming up ideas for Kate Middleton's wedding gown. So far, Monique Lhuillier's voluminous design is my favorite, although I adore the simple elegance of Reem Acra's silk chiffon gown. What about you? Which dress do you love?
