I can't help it. I'm a sucker for all things Madewell. Enter their new Gatsby Collection — case in point. Inspired by the roaring 20s, the mesh bow-tie jewelry designs come in both silver and gold. Happy weekend, my dear readers! Do you find the bowl of heirloom tomatoes above as irresistible as I do? It reminds me of the tomato tasting I did a couple months back — oh, how I miss those summer days!

Behind the Scenes of Mad Men

Can we say Mad Men withdrawal? I can't believe this Sunday is the season four finale of the show. Where does the time go? In honor of this season's conclusion, I thought I'd revisit Rolling Stone's photo tribute to the show from September. Such great pics!

Double decker tacos

As you may know from previous posts, I'm not much of a cook in the kitchen. Thank goodness Matt is! This past week, we had friends over for a mini Mexican fiesta featuring one of his tastiest specialties: double decker tacos. 

Inspired by the dish served at Taco Bell, Matt's version is one and the same. You take a soft tortilla, wrap it around a hard taco shell, add a layer of re-fried beans in the middle, and voila! Double decker tacos. The traditional taco fixings still apply: meat, cheese, onions, tomatoes, lettuce, salsa. Sprinkle a touch of cilantro on top and I promise you — they're delish!
