Now that fall has arrived, I'm happy to say that my brunch tour of New York has resumed! I've blogged about it before — every weekend, a couple of friends and I rotate and choose different brunch spots around the city that we want to try. This past weekend, our choice was Freemans on the Lower East Side. Have you been? I've only gone in for dinner and cocktails before, but never for brunch. It was delicious! What are your favorite brunch spots in New York? I need to add to my list of places to try!

A pre-holiday night out in New York! Since Matt is traveling to Australia to see his family for New Year's, we celebrated the season a bit early with dinner at Apizz on the Lower East Side with friends. How delicious do the desserts above look? I was too busy eating, otherwise I would have taken shots of my main course — ravioli with brown butter and sage. Yum! I love the photo of Matt with his iPhone. Dinner was preceded by festive cocktails at Freemans. Such a fun (and flavorful) way to toast the holiday season and wish Matt bon voyage!
