Dressing up for Halloween

Are you planning to dress up for Halloween this year? I can't believe it's next week! Matt and I are going as Ron Burgundy and Veronica Corningstone from Anchorman (and taking our cue from this super creative guy here). We're still piecing together our look—it's surprisingly hard to find a burgundy-colored suit! If it comes together, I will share pics here next week.

Halloween costume ideas

Since Halloween is mere days away, I'd love to know — what are you dressing up as this year? My costume is still undecided, which means it will be a game time decision on Saturday night. Some ideas that I have: reprising a Marilyn Monroe costume I wore a few years back, or mixing it up and going as a Pink Lady from Grease. Whatever I decide, I'm definitely inspired by the incredible costumes above. Mary Poppins? A shark attack in progress? Where the Wild Things Are? So creative!

Halloween 2010: Ron Burgundy wins best costume

As far as creativity goes, on Halloween, it can be a tough accolade to score. That is, unless you're the brother/sister duo pictured above. Dressed as Ron Burgundy, this guy paraded around his 'hood dropping quotes from the movie: "Oh Baxter." "Scotch, scotch, scotch, I love scotch." His sister? She's a zombie girl scout, of course. These kids put my Lady Gaga costume to shame!
