The weather was absolutely perfect. The whole town is walkable. Better yet, it's nestled on the French Riviera, which means crystal clear blue water as far as your eyes can see. We ate gelato, we hiked to a lighthouse, we got lost meandering down pretty cobblestone streets. We also had a wonderful and memorable dinner at Chez Lulu, a family-style restaurant run by a lovely French couple. The food? So. good.
There was only one teeny tiny hiccup in Antibes: we were only planning to stay there for one night. But, as luck would have it, there was a train strike in Italy (the next destination on our trip) so we had to rearrange our plans, and extend our stay. This meant an extra beach day, another gorgeous sunset and sunrise, and a chance to see the start of the Antibes Cote d'Azur, an annual car race and rally. It was so stunningly beautiful there—like Paris, it's a place where I can confidently say, I'll be back!
