Please Don't Stop the Music

Citizen Cope.

Seeing a Citizen Cope show at the Brooklyn Bowl in Williamsburg is definitely not a bad way to kick off the week. Especially if it’s accompanied by food from Blue Ribbon Restaurants. Add to that, a few songs performed with the soulful, the impressively talented Alice Smith. No, not a bad Monday night at all.

My Weekend

The bowling lanes at Brooklyn Bowl.

On Sunday, I braved the rain to check out Brooklyn Bowl in Williamsburg. As a Massachusetts girl, candlepin bowling was my thing growing up. I was even a high scorer in a father/daughter bowling league when I was in the fifth grade. But ten-pin bowling? It’s a totally different game. Don’t worry — I still held my own. I just think that the style of bowling that was originally made cool in Canada is ready to make it’s New York debut.
