Last night, I went to the kick off reception for the 2010 Showtime House, held at Cassa Hotel and Residences in New York. What a fantastic night checking out rooms inspired by all of the network's hit series. The photos above feature rooms inspired by Laura Linney's new Showtime drama, The Big C. Boston-based architect Stephen Chung designed the bedroom, along with Matthias Altwicker. The books on the shelf are interactive — open the cover and engage with other people reading the book at the same time as you!
You guessed it — these two shots are inspired by Weeds. Designers John Loecke and Jason Oliver Nixon of John Loecke Inc. went to Stray Dog for the papier mache plants pictured above. Don't you just love how colorful they are?
I love the X-Rays lining the hallway in the Nurse Jackie suite designed by Laura Bohn and Katie Lydon. And the bedside I.V. bags? So creative!
The shot above is of the gaming room, inspired by Dexter and designed by Jeff Andrews and Gregory Okshteyn. Kind of makes you think twice about sitting there, right? Visit the rooms above and many more! Starting this Saturday, the Showtime House opens to the public on Saturdays only through October 23. Ticket proceeds (only $15 per person) directly benefit the Harlem Children's Zone.
